i was installing my cool runner the other day, everything was going good i dumped my nand, soldered in the coolrunner, went to run xell, and when i put the air flow scoop thing, it knocked the orange wire loose, but it was still running, i turned it off and on a couple times before i realized what was happening, now it wont turn on at all, any idea what happenned, the little ball of solder came of, but i rigged it with a piece of wire and soldered it to the trace thinking that was the problem. not sure if what i did was right buit i will take some pictures.:mad:

done the same thing te other day m8, panic not

fix the trace as described in this thread, the trace needs to be reconnected to the resistor

http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74853

then instead of soldering your orange wire to the repaired bit as in the thread solder it instead from the coolrunner to this alt poit on the underside of the board. i did that and it works spot on. u may need a longer piece of wire to reach it.

hope this helps

Set your camera to macro and get a closer pic. Make sure you have lots of light in the room. Dont worry about your RGH right now cuz its worthless if the box doesnt boot. It looks like you have a bridge under your green wire there on that empty resistor spot. Also the resistor you have the green wire soldered to looks burnt in your pic.

If you repaired the damage and it still wont even turn on at all then you havent repaired the damage. How about those pics allready
yes those resistors are round about 34 ohms cos i tested the resistance with a meter on them so i could see if my repair was good.

do you have a meter, cos thats the best way to test your repair when u do it

put one probe of the meter on the bare trace before the repair and one after the resistor and the resistance should read 34 om or whatever the resistors are in fact a continuity check beeps (well it does on my meter anyway) because the resistance is so low
