Yes Im a noob when it comes to this type of drive nut no the xbox scene.

All I need to know is do I need to purchase a probe when using the Xecuter X360USB PRO V2 on this drive.

also there are no current guides I can find for using the X360USB PRO V2. Will the jungleflasher 1.4.4 guide work even though it uses the X360USB PRO?

I have looked at that but all I really need to know is if the X360USB pro v2 is the same as the pro and still needs the probe to get the key, or does the newer pro v2 get the key itself.

OK, so by the looks of things I do indeed need to get the CK3 Probe 3

Yes you need a probe v3
The usbpro v2 is basically a combination of the usbpro and the ck3i so replaces their position in the tutorial
If you read the product description you will see what else it can be used for
