All,

Been doing a bit of reading up this morning regarding FW 8.0 here is what I have learned, please correct if I am wrong:
  1. Do not update your switch to OFW 8.0 yet as CFW is not working on SXOS
  2. Security keys appear to be the same as 7.x so only minor updates are required to get SXOS working
  3. 7.x Emunand seems to have been confirmed to work on 8.0 if you have upgraded
  4. The software exploit the has not been released called Deja Vu which is rumoured to work on ipatched consoles has been fully patched in 8.0 (Stay on 7.x if you ever wish to run a full softmod on your ipatched switch (Note there is no working version for 7.x but appears its possible in time)
  5. Stay on 7.x if you also want to run Deja Vu on a non patched switch
  6. AUTO RCM brick seems to only brick if you run AUTO RCM on an ipatched switch
  7. The TX Exploit rumoured to exist to allow CFW on ipatched consoles MAY now also be patched in 8.0. AGAIN do not update to 8.0 until more information is confirmed / released especially important if you have an ipatched console.

Thanks for the advice, I uninstalled Auto RCM too just to be safe, now I didn't know about Deja Vu, going to look out for more details :)

If your console can utilize the fusee gelee exploit, I see zero reason to use the Deja Vu version anyway. It would be great for ipatched units though.

It would be even better if we can get the TX version out the door soon.
This. I really hope to see TX version comes out first just to see the free cry on "that forum" :D

Completely Agree here, I have no interest in Deja Vu for my unpatched switch. Shame tho as it may be too late for the TX exploit to be fully appreciated / adopted as many ipatched consoles will have updated!

Anyone got any more info on this Auto RCM brick rumour / issue? I personally would like to turn it back on as it is a useful tool, but don't want a risk of brick!

I would recommend NOT updating sysnand until an update from Team Xecuter is released. Why the rush? just stay on 7.x for a few days untill the experts give the thumbs up.

If you updated to 8.0 on SysNand, your EmuNand on 7.0.1 will STILL boot and continue to work as per normal.

If your NOT using EmuNand and use SX OS CFW, this is broken.

If you updated to 8.0 on SysNand and you also updated EmuNand to 8.0 using ChoiDuJourNX, your EmuNand WILL NOT boot. I can confirm this as after I updated my EmuNand to 8.0, EmuNand just boots to black screen.
SX OS Boot Loader still works.

I knew the risks, since no one is going to take one for the team and just speculate what would/might happen, I went ahead and did it and can confirm.

Not all is lost for me because I have a second SD CARD with EmuNand on it that I used for this test :) I just popped my main SD CARD with EmuNand 7.0.1 and I'm all good.

So for those that want to test, if you can, grab yourself a spare 64gb SD CARD, create EmuNand as files on SD CARD, once done, take a backup of the EmuNand files for safe keepings, when new FW drops, use this SD CARD to update EmuNand to whatever the latest FW is at the time and see if it boots. You have nothing to loose but everything to gain by letting other people know if it's safe or not to update EmuNand. Then all you need to do is delete the EmuNand files and copy back the backup that you made, of course you will not be able to do this if you choose to do EmuNand as hidden partition, as there is no current easy way to backup EmuNand, so best to do EmuNand as files on SD CARD.
