Ok, I'm new so bare with me...please. I have done some searching but haven't had any luck yet. My situation; I go to play new harry potter game and it says "Must have update before you can play game".. my question is/ is it safe to say yes to this update or will it affect my hacked firmware and my ability to play my backed up games? Thanks for any help. Much appreciated.

yes. original drive, but hacked firmware. I thought I had read where someone took an update and then they couldn't play their backed up games. So they had to re-flash firmware. I just wanted to avoid having to do this. Is the update on the disc itself (game) or is it trying to logon to the internet to take the update? If this happens I'm pretty well screwed from what I gather. I've lost my original firmware along w/my key. ....help....
well if this is a BIG worry for you, redump your firmware so you have it safe so if something does happen you will be fine. But the only update ive heard of stopping hacked firmware was the fall update which made the 360 confirm it had the original drive in it
