Game Updates

Hi All I am slightly confused over the 6.2 update. I am currently om 6.1 and have no intention of updating to 6.2 until alls good. My question is when a game requires updating before use normally I would just update whilst online (I have never played an online game just logged in), am I correct in thinking that as soon as I go online I will be updated to 6.2 regardless of my selected options or am I ok in just going online to updart in the usual manner

I can be wrong, but i have a feeling that Nintendo have made it so you need latest update to get games update from them, i know M$ and Sony did that on theire consoles

Nintendo forces people to update to 6.2 in order to prevent CFWs. You best bet is to delete the Update and remain offline. Maybe that way you won't have to install an update anymore. Here is a guide on how you can delete the update:

Yeah best to hold off. I was doing a simple wipe of my system to go back to factory reset and Nintendo made me update to 6.2.0 before I could even wipe my system. Tricky tricky!

Definitely don't go online for game updates. This is exactly what I used to do, no online play, just updates and occasional purchase of eShop games on sale. Now I'm on 6.2 even though I had auto updates disabled.
