Gamecube?!?

I jsut got my gf a game cube and wasn't going to mod it for her, but if our trusted friends at TX come out with something I'll have to reconsider that. Look forward to seeing it, the GC has a whole different school of games, and while PS2 and Xbox overlap a lot I feel GC is separate enough to justify owning and modding both.

Ah, but it is cheap! It does have that going for it. :) Actually, that is a very nice plus. If I had spare money, I might very well buy one. I mean, after all, how often can you get a refurbished console for $70? Plus, I'm addicted to Mario...

dude, i love my gamecube. Sure it is cheap and stuff but that is just one of the many good things about it. I mean i haven't played it in ages cos of the xbox (with x3ce of course) but it is still a great console and i was hooked for months on timesplitters 2 ...

i cant wait for the release of this chip and/or software.. it will make TX even stronger

Well, for one thing, if your a resident evil fan, I'd figure you'd have a GC. The Resident Evil remake was absolutely awesome, Zero seems pretty cool (I haven't beaten it yet), and Resident Evil 4 was absolutely amazing. Honestly, I think I'd rather play a game on a gamecube then on my PS2 or Xbox.

I heard that RE4 might hit the other counsles though...

So far it's the only one I haven't played and I'm so close to buying a gamecube just for that.

(and my wife want's donkey konga... but I'm hoping that it's a phase she's going through and it'll pass;))

Hey. I'm new here, referred by a member named something along the lines of SonicvanaJr. Anyway... I just recently bought my own GameCube [ the Xbox is my dad's, don't know if he'll let me mod it >< ], and I was wondering... how would you mod a GameCube? What's there to mod? Also, I don't exactly see a port for transferring a game to your computer, or a harddrive to put games on. What's the use?

Player, who even HAS homebrew applications or runs a bios of any of those three options? In my mind, it seems useless to spend £37.99 on a modchip that's useless. o_O

Yeah... lol... hey Sonic. Oh well. My dad says I can't buy the Xbox from him. He won't even let me mod OWN [ yes, it's MINE ] GameCube because he says modding is a waste [ I don't want to mod my GC, but it's just an example ]. So... yeah. I think I'll just buy a refurbished one or something. Yeah. That sounds good. :O
