Well I have a gc but what since would it make to mod it.I mean could you back up games?If I want to run home brew programs I would just use my xbox.The only way I would mod my gc is if they find a way to make back ups.And I agree with most the game cube is a pretty good system for the money,And has pretty good games for it.Zelda and re4 look good.

you can take the top off and burn backups and homebrews on dvd. thats what my friend does. theres also a way to boot games off of a sd memory card if you build the right interface.
you can actually do alot with a gc. just it never became really popular mod system cuz most people hated it.
has anyone actually searched for info about modding the gamecube, there is loads of helpfull stuff on other forums telling you what to do and how to backup games, what dvd brands to use and how to take the cover of to use full size burnt dvdr/dvd-rw..
i can bet that soon there will even be dashboards for it and gamecube-linux have allready figured out how to connect a h/d up to one..
overall the gamecube could really take of again if the modding scene grew..

I've had mine modded for a while now. I don't really care for the viper chip as it's kinda junky. But flashing it is a breeze - now it just needs a stable bios. Also I could do without the swapping when you wanna play backups but it's not that bad.
