Games constantly crashing

Is this a common occurance? I find myself playing a game hardcore such as burnout 3, or kotor2... suddenly the screen will turn black, or just crash. then again, kotor 1 did it frequently too. feels like windows 95 all over again. blah. if ur feeling the same way and need to vent, please post. i'd like to hear about it.

too be honest, i believe its primarily because of heat problems... I'm thinking of purchasing an external fan. Does anyone have an external cooling fan. If so, how many degrees did u see a decrease in it? What brand? I live in america so u have to spell it out in F and C.

I have the same games on backup and have NO probems with them. It could be an overheating problem or not, I don''t know for sure.

What is the temp saying before and after you start and the game crashes?

flip over your hdd in the case b4 u go buy a new fan....and do the 12v mod to your stock fan

anyone with a 1.0 try the heatsink mod instead of the stock heatsink/fan? I'm wondering how much I would benefit doing so. I realize how cheesy the stock fan is... :?
