RGH Games running slowly

Hello everyone.
I'm new with the rgh.
And i've bought one on the internet,
but now when i start a game.
The game starts but runs very slowly,
what can i do about that?
Is it some kind of setting, or did the guy glitcht it wrong or is the xbox almost dead?
Can anyone help me?
I've searched the internet but couldn't find anything 'bout my problem.
I've found some posts where they say that the xbox starts up slow, but mine starts up in 10 secs.

How are you starting the game? DVD drive, internal drive or usb?
What type of xbox? http://homepage.ntlworld.com/big.ted/images/Xbox360_Model_Guide.jpg (or is it a xbox s?)

The internal drive.
60gb.

I'm thinking it's a bad hdd, I had a drive going out on me and the console ran slower than molasses. try running the console without the hard drive in and then run a game from dvd

yea if possible try to put the game at an external usb fat32 and retry...
