Games won't play on recently swapped HDD

After formating my new HDD through FTP (xboxscene tutorial) I cannot get games to play that are saved on the HDD. When I try to load them, the Evolution X screen comes on as normal but then the screen reverts back to the evox dashboard. I've tried to edit the evox.ini file but to no avail. Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong???

Have you tried backing them up again to the HD? What program did you use to back them up to the HD?

see the problem is that im swapping from the original 4GB drive to a new one. On the original, I could onlly have one game saved to the HDD at a time. On the original drive, games and apps were under E:. The new drive only uses C: and F:. I thought I had configured the evox.ini file right but I guess not.

When transferring games to the HDD, I use xFER202. I even edited settings on xFER202 to send games to F:. This has been so frustrating because everything seemed to work until I selected the games to play and as usual, the evox screen came up, but then it just reverted to the evox dashboard.

Really, I guess I need to know how to reformat my new drive again if that is even possible.

get a program called DVD2XBOX from the usual places and use that

you should also have an E drive for your gamesaves

thanks for your help but i finally got it all to work. I just reformatted the drive via an old evox new HDD install disc i had laying around. Then i just transfered a few things over from FTP and it worked.
