Is there some super preferred media type? I know for ps2s Taiyo Yudens were always the recommended choice.
And then I guess anywhere In particular like supermediastore that has a good deal on them?

And from what I read, xbox live works fine?
I highly doubt ill use it though, but for the rare case I may want to, Id like to know its there.

And lastly I guess where would I find more precise info on which chipset my sata onboard is? I have the msi k8nneo4 and every search in windows just reports general sata controller and the websites not helping me.
Ill try and peep the mother board later.
I wont be doing this till end of the month, so lots of time to research.

The tried and tested media is Verbatim DL DVD+R. Some burners work better than others LiteOn, LG and the Pioneer 111d seem to the most popular. As at this present time it is fine to go on Xboxlive, no reports of anyone being banned at the moment, but that could all change at some point. As for the chipset, I would just invest in the VIA 6421 PCI Card.

Still rocking a pioneer 109. No probs yet,but never burned a DL in yet either.

As for sata, I figure im ok for now,Or use a friends PC.
Dont see the need to go get a pci card for the time being.
