Hi All,

This is my first community post and sorry if I come across a little thick in places, but I would rather be safe than sorry!
Firstly, thanks to the majority of the community for the hard work and more so the sticky posts which have been very informative.

I receive my SX Pro this week and I am seeking advice over a few things.

I completely understand that there is no certainty of not getting banned, and I don't have a problem with this but would look to limit the potential of it where possible.

1) As I am looking to have an SXServer on my home desktop, what is the best way of limiting access of the Switch to the internet without jeopardising this feature? I know most people suggest air plane mode but I presume this would prevent this from working?
2) Do the sysnand and emunand operate on different parts of the microsd with different game installs? If i launch into my OFW would it be completely separate from my CFW?
3) What are the disadvantages to using AutoRCM? Would some argue its best not to RCM into OFW as you are going in via a different route?
4) Would you always update your CFW offline? I presume it would be risky to download it directly.

Thanks for your help in advance, this is the only area I just want to get my head around before it all arrives.

Stealth mode should be fine alone honestly, but you can also ad 90dns as well to your network connections.

sysnand is the internal memory. Emunand runs of the SD. They are separate. Whatever you install in your OFW sysnand will not show up in your emunand or may show as asking you to re-downloaded. When you create your emunand you can rename you Nintendo folder to Emutendo and what every is there will show up. It does not live update though so after that they will not show the same things.

3) What are the disadvantages to using AutoRCM? Would some argue its best not to RCM into OFW as you are going in via a different route?
If you use it you will get banned. I am not sure the specifics behind it, but it is a red flag if that it on and you connect to Nintendos services.

4) Would you always update your CFW offline? I presume it would be risky to download it directly.
Yes, especially if you are using emunand. You can update your sysnand offline as well, but obviously if you are trying to keep your sysnand clean then you wouldn't do it that way.

Thanks for your response,

I will take a look at 90dns, sounds like it should do the trick for what I need. I wasn't even aware it existed to be fair! I will have stealth mode enabled as a standard anyway.

With regards to the auto RCM, is it best to just leave this off entirely and use the jig? This wouldn't bother me too much as the console will be sitting in its dock most of the time in sleep mode.

I will probably be firing back with more questions once I get all the kit here!

Thanks again,

If you are trying to keep your Switch as "clean" as possible then do not use autoRCM.
