I know for a fact that WWE 12 is not XGD3, and I'm about 95% sure its not ap2.5 either.awsome trick, works a treat.....but.......
i need a tu for wwe 12 and battlefield 3, because both of these are saying disc not compatible, but i cant find them on xbuc.net
can anyone help?
:facepalm:good method, just wonder how legitimate it is in M$'s eyes
UPDATE: I moved my save game off of my harddrive and then it works if you (I) want to start a fresh new game...which I'm really not in the mood for since I have 150-hours on my old save...but oh well, them's the breaks. The good news is that this method has worked for me for my Skyrim back-up which I never played yet because it always gave me the "unsupported disc" eror and I never knew why until now. So I'll probably just play Skyrim offline now and leave Dark Souls for another day when "silver bullet fix" becomes available from, C4Eva ; or maybe Drak Souls will now fade away since there are so many other new games out now (although Dark Souls is awesome)....:facepalm:My Dark Souls back-up just started this problem this morning (unsupported Disc).
I tried this recommended procedure in this intitial post with Dark Souls with all of these 4 TU's and when the game starts it says "Save File Version Differs from Game Version. Sign in to Xbox LIVE to download update. Closing Game."
So I guess it doesn't work with Dark Souls; which does have a unique "one save game only" feature. So it is either because of that, or the right TU I need is not posted online yet, IDK. I have 150-hours logged on that save game too![]()
So I finally conected my xbox to live and presume I have recieved the silent update yet my dash is still 13604.0 not 13604.4.
Does the xbox have to be restarted for it to take effect and if so does that mean my existing backups will still work without being flagged?
Yup, same exact problem. I downloaded the TU update for Dark Souls from Oct 15th, which allowed the game to be read again, but I'm having the exact same save game problem. I do believe that it is because like you said, the game uses one unique save game file.My Dark Souls back-up just started this problem this morning (unsupported Disc).

Yeah, weird. I downloaded the Dark Souls game update when it prompted me on LIVE yesterday morning; played all day until 1:00 AM last night (this morning) with no problem. Then when I tried playing it again today it gave the disc unsupported error. Weird that it didn't happen immediately after the update was applied....:crazy:Yup, same exact problem. On an interesting note, before I came to these forums and read about what's going on, I couldn't figure out why my Dark Souls game wasn't working. So I pulled the game out, cleaned it off, put it back in, still not recognized.
Put in my backup of Skyrim, which booted up perfectly fine... Odd? So I pulled Skyrim out, put dark souls back in, and it booted up  Played for several hours, turned the xbox back off, and ever since it wont be recognized again.
Not sure why putting in my backup of skyrim allowed dark souls to be read that time though?
What?if the TU method stopped working for you its because you using the truncated method they patched it where the disc won't authorize without a 100% burn
I've gotten several truncated discs to work with the TU methodif the TU method stopped working for you its because you using the truncated method they patched it where the disc won't authorize without a 100% burn
Can you share what you did?Hey, I figured out a way to modify the save game for dark souls to work with the older version of the game. If you're interested, let me know and I can help you get your savegame working again chillin =P
All my discs are 100% ripped and burned with Burner Max F/W on an iHAS 624B. The only game it is not working with is Dark Souls, probably due to the unique "single save only" feature of that game. The game still boots but then tells you the save game does not match. You can start a new game if you want, but like I said, I am 150-hours in already, like level 135 or something...real bummer to start over...if the TU method stopped working for you its because you using the truncated method they patched it where the disc won't authorize without a 100% burn
Yes, please let me (and all of us) know. Why not just post your solution on here? Thanks.Hey, I figured out a way to modify the save game for dark souls to work with the older version of the game. If you're interested, let me know and I can help you get your savegame working again chillin =P
