Modded HDD

I was wondering about modding your HDD. If you get a pc HDD that is unlockable put the firmware on it do the mod for playing and installing iso's from the HDD then relock it put it in an offline Xbox 360 and then did the file transfer to a legit xbox HDD would it lessen your chances of being banned?

for one thing u cant install back-ups to ur drive. what ur referring to is homebrew. u cant do the same to dvd drives and u can to hdd. what u can do with a hdd is upgrade 20 gb to 120 gb cheap. but u cant mod the hdd to put firmware on them to play back-ups. but u can setup to do homebrew but this isnt the forum for that.
