JTAG Getting around JTAG ( First Time )

So, after getting a solid grip on flashing, drive repair, laser replacement, drive replacement etc., I am now thinking about moving on to something more complicated. Which is JTAGing an Xbox.

I've been searching around the tutorials but couldn't seem to find one that would build from the ground up. The only tutorial I found decent was the one written by Xecuter ( many thanks ) on installing the Nand X:

I got my furry paws on two xboxs. Both with old, Jtaggable dashboards. One is a Xenon and the other is a Zephyr. Xecuter's tutorial shows both ways to install the Nand X to Xenon and non-Xenon moherboards. So, I'm set from that side...

What I want to know is, from a completely fresh Xbox, the steps from A-Z ( from finding out NAND size blah blah ) all the way to installing free style dash ( i.e., until I'm ready to play some games on it ) on the console.

Aww man- another great thread - just what I was looking for -SUBSCRIBED! - I'm looking to go through the same process, so would be interesting to see how u get on, and post any results I find toooooo
Good luck buddy

Thanks banjaxt for putting everything in order for me!

@diaboliq20: I guess banjaxt's post solves it all for me. Hope it's the same for you aswell.;)

Just one more question left:

after seeing the video by Caroline Gamer on installing Freeboot, how do I go about installing freestyle dash or whatever is required to play my future JTAG rips and what to do with the NAND-X after all of the process is done? Obiviously not leave it in the 360 just like that.:D

regarding the nand x wires, i used the direct wire method. put the wires right the way through, cut the leftover off and soldered them in place just like pic it tut, then drilled a small hole just above the hdd port in the metal case to feed the cable that goes in to the nand x so i never have to open my console to update xell or the like.

for install ing freeboot dash

if you double click it to go to youtube the links are in description

but take things one step at a time and dont rush yourself or BIG mistakes will happen;)
