So, I was really into the modding scene back in xbox 1 days, did a little with 360, now that i have an xbox one, i want to mod my 360 (my old modded died a few years ago) im not really interested in jtag,etc, (unless i can run the jtag offline, then 'turn it off' and run stock online) mainly, i want to mod the firmware. Ive looked around here and other sites a bit to find out info on dual booting firmware. Whats most important for me is that im still able to take the console online (not while the firmware is active, etc..) but just that i can get the gamerscore updated (yes, im an achievement whore). What are my options here, as far as modding firmware (dual boot, if possible). I know more information on my part is probably needed, dvd drive type, ect... if some kind person were to tell me what info would be needed i'll rip her open and find out.

Going online with a CFW console is perfectly safe if you don't have a disc in the drive. If you have no intention of playing online (and remain to be not connected to XBL when playing backups), this is also perfectly safe.
