ANSWERED Getting dvd key from CPU key

I have a console that has E65. I have unplugged the drive and booted the console which has the old kernal and is exploitable. I tried to flash the drive but it is not recognized. Since I do not know the history of the console, I do not know if it's a bad flash or something else (bad drive, etc.). My question is if I use nand-x to retrieve the nand and write xell to get the CPU key. can I use the CPU key to obtain the dvd key and flash to different drive using jungleflasher to fix the E65? On another note, do I have to install the jtag boards in order to write xell? I'd rather not do additional soldering work if I dont have to.
Note: I would be using coolshrimps Jtag tool.

you can use the cpu key to recover the dvd key. youd need to open your nand dump in 360 flash tool and then add your dvd key and it will decrypt and show you the dvd key.

you do need to install the jtag wires to write and boot xell.

typo, you need to add your cpu key not dvd key to 360 flash tool.

sorry mate, typo lol. yes mate add your cpu key and it decrypts your kv and tells you everything including console serial number, drive type, dvd key and other bits.
