RGH Getting Kinect to work on 14719 dashboard

Hey all,

First time here, got my first xbox today- Gears of war 3 edition (RGH). I attached my kinect to the new system and it asked for an update.

I searched previous posts on the forum and saw that I needed to download an update from www.xbox.com/update, put it on a USB and make sure the update number is the same as the dashboard -- but the current update is 15574 and my dashboard is 14719.

How can I get my kinect to work? Do I need to search for the 14719 update? I'm not sure how to proceed without messing my system up...


If it helps - my system came with Freestyle Dash 1.09 and XeXMenu 1.1.

Best way would be to build a 15574 image with J-Runner and flash it. After that you can use the update. If you don't want to do that then do some googling. You will find the update your looking for.

You need to update via USB pen a MS orig 14719 update then kinect and avatars will work again.

Or make a new 15574 RGH Dash in jrunner if you have a orig nand dump and cpu key for your console.
Then use a MS orig 15574 update

New dash is expected very soon anyways:smile:

Read this and pay extra attention to Step 1.

As above, it is advised to update your console's glitch image to 15574 first.

I've updated the old 14719 original file, and it's working great! I guess I'll wait with the RGH update until the next one arrives.

As BL4K3Y said, it's advised to go to the 15574, specially if you have your DVD unlocked and use to play backup DVDs as well as most of the new games are comming with 15574.
