Hi,

I backed up a laptop using norton ghost. I have the backup disks (CD's). Is there a way that i can take the 215GB hard drive from my xbox, which has already been formatted for the XB, put into a regular desktop PC and then put the ghost backup onto that disk. I guess my question is............. is the Windows operating system likely to recognise the disk? I have 40GB to put on there, take some info off the backup and then place back in my xbox????? How might i achieve this please? If anyone knows, i'd be greatful for some help.............

well i have used norton ghost before but never tried making a ghost image of a xbox hdd... but im pretty sure if it works or not that u will have to unlock the xbox hard drive first before sticking it into the pc...

but if all u want to do is duplicate the hdd my recommendation is to... use avalaunch's "xbox to xbox" transfer... but if u want the entire drive to get copied, your gonna need a hard drive of the same of bigger in size thats the data is going to.

good luck ;)

You cant put it into your computer.... and have it work, without changing the file structure/Erasing the contents of the disk.

I'm not exactly sure wha you're asking however.

Are you looking for a place to just store the iso as a backup? if you are.. You can upload the ghost images VIA FTP... store it on the xbox. But you wouldnt be able to run the ghost directly off the xbox...
