  • Console Type: Trinity
  • Programmer Used: JRP v2.0
  • NAND Size: 16
  • Dashboard version: 17150
  • CB Version: 9231
  • Screenshot of NAND details from J-Runner:
  • J-Runner log
  • updflash.bin log (if applicable)
  • Image of the CR4 XL
  • Images of close-up soldering to motherboard Pictures to follow
  • Detailed Description of the Problem Console is glitching but not booting. I've tried all the provided caps, all the post bit settings, just about every dip switch setting that are reported to work. Been at this for hours. I can hear the glitch trying to reset the CPU and I've even watched it on a scope. The only things I have yet to try are using shielded cable and replacing the CR4 board with one of my extras. Dip switch 3 didn't seem to click when moved to on. So I suspect maybe a bad switch anyone have any suggestions?
  • Was the console working before you started: Y
  • Do you get a green debug light appear on the CR4 XL chip every 4-5 seconds: Y
  • How long is the light on for each time Less than a second each cycle

Are u sure u soldered to the correct side of c5r11?
i never use that point so I'm a bit uncertain...
I have it soldered to the right side of that location, same as seen in all the guides and other pictures. Is there another location I should try? This one seemed to work fine on my trinity, and the v1 corona that I did yesterday. (this trinity actually belongs to the wife of the owner of the corona. Nothing says merry xmas like a box that can run homebrew)

Short (cut) the wires to fit, so as short as possible. What happens when you only put dip 3 on? You said something dip 3 not clicking? Switch it back and again to on. Try only 3.

I guess this one can be marked solved. Dip switch 3 just wasn't making a good connection internally and as a result the timings seemed off. Turned it off and on a few times with a little blast of compressed air in between and finally it seemed to click into place. Probably got some of that crazy dust in it that was all over the guts of this old trinity. Now it boots within a couple seconds of pressing power. w00t.
