goes to MS Dash when X3 CE is activated

hi

when I quick press the xbox on, the chip X glows to say it is active, the xbox displays the "rox my box" logo and the lcd displays "xecuter" then the TV will show the default dashboard and the lcd will still show the "xecuter" it will still play copied games but you can not FTP into it, and no lights flash on the power button.

this has started a few days ago and is still doing it. b4 when u quick pressed the power button it did all the above but,

the LCD wld change from "xecuter" to a load of info, like bios number and a few other bits. the TV would then show the X3 dashboard and all was working well.

any ideas, i have tried flashing the bios 3029/3108 but it is still the same????

It's your dashboard settings. You either need to install another dash, repair the one you have or FTP via X3CL.

where is the current dash stored to? as i have anova chip i cld copy it from if poss. how would i repair it because i can not ftp into it, and i know this is sounding thick but what do you mean by "FTP via X3CL?

You really do need to read the n00b guides. Once you have, it'll make a lot more sense.

x3 config live, its almost like a dashboard within the bios... but its not quite a dashboard.

ok thanks, can you let me know the direct link to save me a bit of time please, or even a quick and easy way on how to repair or replace mine. i have a X3 CE in anova xbox which works, i was gonna see if i cld get the dash off that and somhow get it into the damaged one. as i dont think i will be able to FTP via X3CL as i do not get the menu up like it is supposed to.

I would, if you understood what you were doing. You don't, so spend the time to learn. That way, you won't have to waste your own time posting easy questions and I won't have to keep replying advising you to read the tutorials!!!
