Going back to Fat32

I am on Exfat since day 1 on my switches, and it seems like FAT32 is still preferred.
Since I am running into odd issues lately, I wanted to switch to FAT32.

Can I easily just format that SD card to FAT32, or do I get the option for that on the Switch?
Since Exfat is Enabled, I had the impression that it always does ExFat when I do a Format SD Card.

And will my 512 Gb card support FAT32 ?

Or is there another way?

idk Dej. needs to be performed and re-install 7.0.1 for just FAT32, and not the Exfat version?
isk if Ninten, will see that then

If you reinstall your FW with Choi and do not pick the exFAT version you can only use fat32. No one knows what Nintendo is checking, but After a certain FW exFAT was added so installing a newer FW without exFAT support I am sure would look suspicious.

thought if you choose fat32 then you will not be able to use microsd larger than 32GB, that's why exfat driver must needed

Can confirm if you quick format as fat32 in Windows (which you will need a third party software to do), then put it in the switch and do a new installation of tx os, it will remain as fat32.

I picked FAT32 and it reads my entire microSD as 200GB in SX Installer with no issues. I'm well over 32GB of usage as well.
ok, he must install the exfat drivers if he decided to go back to exfat later
so pick exfat is the best of both worlds

After reading how exFAT works on the switch, I personally would not use it again.

Any interruption whatsoever and you have data loss that can't be retrieved ever.

Exfat has one fat. Just one. Fat32 has two, which means data loss is recovered.

It's so simple to use fat32 microsd card and insert a exFAT usb stick into the dock to install xci and nsp.

Like tokyo said, I have a 256gb fat32 card.

Not everyone wants to use an external usb drive. There are other ways to install files bigger than 4gb also even with XCI.

There was honestly just probably a problem with the update. If it were me I would just reinstall the update with exFAT support.
