Hiya fellas,
I thought i'd backed up the key for my drive before i had to format my pc ( Windows 7 32bit ) but after checking on my backup drive for the key,it's not there :( i had flashed the Hitachi drive with the latest LT firmware but i need to revert back to stock to update the consoles dashboard version. So would i have to RGH to retrieve the key from the board or is there a way it might still be there on my pc HDD that i use a data recovery program to find it ?

you can redump the key from the drive if you are 100% sure the key is correct
Yep,i'm 110% sure it's the correct drive,as it's the first Hitachi v79 i've ever flashed before.I had the key dump saved on my pc BEFORE i had to format my whole hard drive and reinstall Windows 7.I usually as a rule make sure that i've got everything backed up on my spare hard drive but i went and completely forgot about this drives key dump and went ahead and done a full format ( silly i know :( ).
So all i have to do now,is run Jungleflasher again, read the drive, then load up Hit OFW ( v79 of course ) to get my drive back to a stock drive again ?

Yes - if the drive's working you can do it all from Jungleflasher.

Bear in mind to make sure you have a good stable system as I've seen people trying to flash 79's using the 'free flash' for LT3 and having the app crash on them due to a poor setup. If this happens, you only have two choices - replace the PCB or remove the TSOP and program manually.
