ok i'm on my 7th xbox mod...all previous have been successfull thanks to these forums....this one is tough though...
Got an xbox off ebay (as usual) and this one has the flashing red light with no video signal....so I got a modchip (x2.6) and installed that, no luck.... found out the eeprom can be the only thing that is making the xbox do this, so here's my question:

Can I take my x3 out of my working xbox, put it in the broken one, and flash the eeprom without any damage? I looked at other ways how to flash the eeprom and I'm looking for the most efficient way of doing this....

Thats why I hate buying used boxes. All the ones I own, I put together by spare parts of order what I need to complete it. Its a lot better to do too, the person you bought it from wont tell you what all they ****'d up on it, hence the reason why they're selling it in the first place.

Either my couch or my chair.
you could either do that or you can use a bios with an embedded eeprom and use configmagic to reprogram the eeprom. i would do the config magic method
