ok so i traded my wii for a jtagged 360. it works, loads back ups just fine. but it did not come with an hdd. i have 3 other 360s in the house with hdds in the house but i was warned that if i take the hdd off a box with an updated dash that it can mess up my jtagged unit. ive heard you can hook up a sata ext hdd and use that, but i can not seem to fine a tut on it. i have a tb drive thats not in use and would like to use it. i also cant fine a tut on installing freestyle dashboard on to it.can some one point one out for me plz. its driving me nuts lol. thank you for your time -Tom

Freestyle is simple, once you have the Files (theres one for HDD one for a USB connected HDD) and then theres the rest of the files.. but its a straight forward install, go download Xplorer 360 or something and find the Cache in there and delete the $ysUpdate folder, that will screw you, or if you so into system seting on your JTAG and go to family setting and COMPLETELY all Disable XBOX LIVE CAPABILITIES.
then get Filezilla, and FTP via your IP and port 21, user is xbox, and password is xbox, all lowercase.

you can delete the $ysUpdate folder through that route too, thats how i do it instead of that HDD transfer kit..
if you decide to format the drive via the dashboard, then make sure oyu transfer all your WANT to keep files to a Flash drive!!!

heres where the FreeStyle Dash files go:

do i have to have a ms hdd to set up freestyle? or can i just use the ext hdd and a usb flash drive?
Basically, all you need is to have XeXMenu installed on your Xbox360. If you can access it through the NXE, then you can run any program through it, wherever it might be, whether the USB or the HDD.

ok so now ive got xexmenu in nxe game demo list, but i cant get freestyle in to nxe demo list. ive read many things, some say place it in root of hdd1,others say place in same folder as xexmenu, ive tried both by ftp and cant get it. what am i missing now?

Here, download this: http://www.mediafire.com/?cnd5li14t4aiu88

In this archive, there are 2 files, "freestyle-hdd" and "freestyle-usb".

If your choose to run Freestyle Dash 1.20 from HDD, then copy the "freestyle-hdd" file to Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00007000\ on your Xbox hard drive and place the Freestyle folder in the root of your HDD.

Or if your choose to run Freestyle Dash 1.20 from USB, then copy the "freestyle-usb" file to Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00007000\ on your Xbox hard drive and place the Freestyle folder in the root of your USB.

Now you will have the shortcut to Freestyle Dash present in NXE.

I've been searching the forums and Im still having issues with freestyle showing up in my NXE. I have a screen shot of what is currently on my USB HDD. Where would I put the file that you suggested? Thanks for any help!
