Got a noob question about the banks swithing option's

ok for what i can see from pic of the x3 bank swith there are 4 main for the 256-2mb banks and the 5 switch is for flash protection but i seen on the form about switch 1-8 are they talking about a different switch or what cause i only see 5 switches ?? so were do the other 3 come from
