RGH got a slim

have a slim and the laser it totalled.
the console is stock but i am after some info on RGH or similar.

i think its the DG-16d5s with 1175

what are my options ?

Well from what I have read about Slim consoles on here it depends on which version of Corona you have. It determines what you need to purchase to RGH your console. I won't give much more advice than that because more knowledgeable people will likely post shortly.

as far as fixing the drive goes, replace the laser.

As far as RGH goes, read martins roadmap for noobs.

Assuming your console is a corona, you have to take into account weather it is a 4gb model, and if it need a postfix adapter. if it is a trinity or non 4gb, you will need the jr-programmer/nand-x vs a 4gb read write kit. and anything after a corona v2 needs postfix adapter. other than that you need to get a glitch chip, and install that also.

oooooops my bad its a trinity.
i can get hold of a dg16d5s drive for very cheap. mine is the dg16d4s, i take it they are the same i just need to swap the boards over ?

where does that leave me with RGH ?

yes the boards on the drives are interchangeable. as for the rgh, you will need a glitch chip(Slim proto v2, cr3-pro, coolrunner, etc), and a way to read/write your nand(JR-Programmer v1/2,Nand-X, or Demon)

If you go with the demon option, you can use the console as a retail, or an rgh console.

You will get no support for a clone fake chip which is most likely.
The links I posted are from an authorized dealer, if your in the uk theres members here that can sell you what you need post in request of service and look in trader advertisment sections

ok i have drive 0401 how do i get the key ?
i press on slim then turn ck3 on and off but it just fails ?

its winbond BTW.

i changed the sata port to port 1 and i now have the key and dummy saved.
so i guess i need to do the kamikaze trick now to open the drive ?

and read the included pdf in documentation folder inside jungleflasher,everything you need for drive related goodness is there.

ok done the hack and the sound played and drive status changed 0x00.
now i tried to erase the drive with liteon erase but it would not erase and had to start my pc.

now how do i go about getting it to unlock again?

if you had read the pdf,you would of known you dont liteon erase a slim.read the PDF! not trying to be a d**k,but its alllllll in there step by step.
