Well I log into Live today and get the modified xbox error. I was kinda hoping for this too. Because thanks to mmicrosysm who hot me my eeprom back from my broken xbox. So I kinda wanted to get banned so I would have a reason to get my 160GB HDD back into my xbox(swapping sucks) So first I have two therios on how I got banned 1. I had XBL blocking off(you will see why in the next reason), I went to start Halo2 up to test some mods I made, and I pressed start too many times and it started to login, but I stoped it before it finished. May have been going up to 6 seconds. 2. I had the XBL blocking up, because a friend of mine(who has a dev kit) Told me that with the XDK you can log into the Debug live, which I did get to work, but he said he does it with the X3 BIOS all the time. So I'm assumsing M$ checks the BIOS first thing. Now my fix, like I said mmicrosysm got me my eeprom back. That eeprom was never banned and the 160GB was never banned, but the eeprom is from a 1.0 xbox and I have a 1.4 xbox now. In live info it gives you the option to switch from 1.0 to 1.1 EEPROM. Would I just have to do that, or would I be fine just using the EEPROM as a 1.0, THanks

So they must check for BIOS right away
So they must check for BIOS right awayI compared my data from my v1.0 to my v1.4 and they look the same in format. Maybe Martin C knows for sure if that could be done.
My friend once bought a eeprom but never used it, but he lives in britian, does it matter if its pal or ntcs, or can I just change that
I believe LiveInfo allows you to change that. But we still need to know if it matters what version Xbox it came from. I say no do to the info is about the same so is the the roms structure checksum but not is content of coarse.
I read that alll 1.0-1.5 eeproms are compatable, I just need to know if my british friends one will work
Ok, just change the region from Europe PAL to North America NTSC and make sure the DVD region is 01 for US.
Well my xbox was banned again, I used an eeprom that my friend bought who lives in britain, and I used my hdd that I originaly had on live, but it was never banned. So IDK how, maybe becuase the EEPROM was a 1.0
That sucks! This is why I do not even bother with XBL. I had XBL before I modded my Xbox but dropped it right after the mod was installed, I had the 2 months free subscription and ran to the end then cancelledhalomaster7777 said:

Well I have to renew it in febuary, but I'm gonna get another eepomr and a stock harddrive, and a new tag, and cancel that one
I say get another EEPROM and use your 160GB as it will look stock, just as you originally did before your other Xbox took a dump. Then start a new account with that setup, does suck its going to cost you another $49.99 for the subscription. Opps never mind your 160GB just got banned my bad. Ok sell that one or stick it in your PC and get another 160GB drive.

Well I talked to his guy that lives around me, and he said that the reason I got banned was because you can't use the same hdd on two eeproms, damn XS scene they lied to me. So I just need a new hdd and eeprom now, no new gamertag yay
what ever man... if you wouldn't use stupid "mods" on halo 2 and just played like a normal person would, you wouldn't had been banned in the first place... simple, buy another xbox don't mod it, and play xbl on it.... don't make lives miserable for honest players whom don't play with modded content (hopefully the autoupdate caught you...)
