JTAG GOT MY NAND-X!!

Alright so I got my Nand-x from modchip.ca bought it yesterday and go it today.. very quick.. spent 60$ Now its a quick solder board.. so looks like I need to add solder to it.. I can use NO CLEAN Sn60/PB40 solder? I will be practicing on other baords before I try to JTAG.. Nervous haha Its like kamizake hack feeling right now lol any pointers for jtag nand x noobs?

hahah im below 89 whatever I check everything mine is exploitable no RGH now quick question the boards are QSB do I need to apply solder to it or can I just solder the jtag kit to the board? Seem like there is some solder on the Jtag kit solder points you know what I mean?

ok thanks im practing all i know is I bought a sh*t iron and not sure if its lead free cause im a dumbass and solder wont stick to the board need hella practice I just need any wire like electrical wire right sorry for useless post I do appreciate all the help and pointers

yeah dude no clean flux im using 30% lead 70% tin il get lead free tomorrow just practicing with copper thin wire thats all i have on a old pcb board dvd rom its alright

Invest in good equipment. Get a decent adjustable iron, lead solder, flux, rubbing alchoal to remove flux, just for starters. Most issues I have seen with bad installs have been with from poor experience and or lack of proper equipment.

good advice people I thank you all alot have my nand x just been practing.. I have xenon and Zephyr.. il let you know il invest in better equipment lik e15 watt iron.. 30 watt is retarded too hot

Not necessarily. I use a 70w adjustable iron. I put it up pretty high to make the job quick. Just do not hold your iron on joints more than needed.

Come to think of it. I got a spare adjustable 60w iron I used to use. If your interested in it let me know. It's nice for any kind of project.
