you can ftp the bios into your bios folder on C: and then flash your chip via flashbios or flash modchip option in evox dash. once flashed, ftp your x2 config ini file into your xbox, then reboot once ftp is complete and the ini file should be found displaying all modifications you made to logo in the ini file.

okay, that didn't work. I put the Mod on through my re-flasher and started it up. startup had a diff but normal screen and normal mod worked fine. I replaced the evox.ini file with an increased fan speed (60%) x2config.ini file after I renamed it. It loads up the original backround, a menu with only ms dash, reboot, shut down and settings options. I can still ftp but what do I need to do to fix it???

I could possibly be wrong but I'm fairly sure that you shouldn't have replaced the evox.ini with the x2config.ini. Try leaving both .ini files on your HDD and see how that works out for you.

that's correct, you don't need to be replacing the evox.ini file
the evox and X2config file are two seperate files for two seperate purposes

put the evox file back on where it was and place the X2config file on either E or F drive

check out the readme1st.txt file that came with the bios

You stated "flash your chip via flashbios or flash modchip option in evox dash" I installed via slayer 2.6 and when I boot up my xbox I cant find a flashbios or flash modchip option anywhere!

Help please!!!!

Check the evox.ini the options are commented out.

Flash bios is a bios that is on your chip when your get it.

Now this is whi I say NEVER use slayers or anything like it, you dont ever learn the basic stuff.

I have looked at the evox.ini file and there are lots of lines like the one below;

flashbios "E:\Bioses\EvoX_M8_FC_67_Blue_256.bin"

What do I do from here?

I am totally at a loss as to get this option available to flash my 2.6 lite modchip.

I found flashing it fromthe flashbios 3.0.3 screen when I 1st bought the chip easy but cant get that screen up as Ive flashed the Bast*rd!!!!

I still have no flash bios option.

Help Help Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regards.

Make a dir called 'bios' in the same dir evox is in, then put the needed bios in it. [512k dont forget]

add
Code:
Item "Flash BIOS",ID_Flash_Bios
to evox.ini

You should be all set to flash any bios you put in the bios dir you made.

Or there is a program on Xbins which i use personally called FlashX it does all the hard flash stuff for you. all you do is select the bank(s) to flash and it flashs within 14 seconds. just put the program on it self like any normal xbox program (FTP) and make a folder called bios in the root of "E" or "F" so it will look like this "E(F)://Bios/" now put all your bios images in there and select when the program asks. never use slayers agian mate, lazy peoples way lol

Switch to the second bank on your modchip (the switch on the right of the remote board stuck under you power/eject switch) and boot then. You should have the FlashBios screen again, flash the new bios from there and assuming its no bigger than 512kB it will just overwrite the first bank on you chip. Then flick the switch back over to Bank 1 and reboot. Ba da bing, it's flashed!
