if you copied it to the hard drive make sure it was patched (use dvd2xbox - does it all for you)

or you should try disabling the chip

I had this same issue with a couple games.
For me, I put in a new HD too when I modded, and backed up all my original HD data then transfered it to the new HD. The games locked up or wouldn't load past their initial screens and I found that by deleting my old game saves for those trouble games fixed the issue. Maybe this will help you, make sure to have a backup of your important game saves if you want, I'm sure theres another way to fix it, I just haven't figured it out yet.

yeah, this happened with my hd versions of medal of honor rising sun and unreal 2. But vice city works fine on my xbox.

i had a game on dvd called baulder's gate that i used dve2xbox to make a backup to the hdd. it would not play it would freeze up at the loading screen.

i fixed by: i made an iso image and extracted them to my pc's hdd, then used qwix and manually patched the xbe's and then ftp them over to the xbox. everything works great now.

you could try this method, all though it is a long and drawn out process. but it worked.

btw..... baulder's gate was the only game that i had trouble with, all the rest of them i used dvd2xbox and it worked great. i still prefer to use dvd2xbox.

hope this helps! 8)

Updated April 6 with Original Firmware. Banned/No Ban Poll

A poll is easy to see. If you updated with Original Firmware installed on your drive and you got banned click banned, if you didn't get banned, click Not Banned.

I updated with LT 1.1, didn't realize we were supposed to flash to OFM before updates... I don't play any stealth games online so I hope I'm alright..
