Ok, kinda new to this stuff. I got everything soldered in correctly (or a least I think I do). I have the purple LPC thing in and soldered corectly. now there are three wires, green, red, and gray. I have the green and red wires soldered in on the back. The gray wire (th d0 if im not mistaken) does that need to be soldered on as well if I have the purple thing? I think it does just don't want to risk my Xbox getting fried.

thx

what do you mean 'the purple thing'

are you referring to the LPC pin header....?

the only case where you wouldnt have to solder the d0 would be if you were using an Xapt3r

ok scrap that. I tried it and it didn't help. I'm using X3 1.6b got everything soldered and in plac and it starts up like it isn't in. The external switch LED doesn't do anything and the blue light on the X3 in the xbox lights up and stays lit. Anyone know what I did wrong?

Ok.....before you go about the whole installation process.....did you request for your chip to have v3.0.3 flashbios on it?

If you didn't......it doesn't even matter if you complete the install, as you won't be able to flash your chip, unless of course you have access to another modded Xbox...

Ok, I'm not sure, but depending on your manufacturer, you could just remove the chip and ship it back and request them to flash it with flashbios v3.0.3.

It's not a pre-flashed bios, its the Cromwell flashbios v3.0.3.

This is the only compatible flashbios with v1.6b Xboxs.
You should have just sent an email request or something else asking for flashbios v3.0.3.

no, i guess im just stupid and don't pay attention to things like that. I just sent them an email about returning it so it can get the Cromwell flashbios v3.0.3 on it. The shipping is only like $3 so its no problem. I had something like this happen with a no-solder(oh SUUUUUUUUUUURE its non-solder)Spiderchip and wanted to return it because i would need to do the same and they didn't even return my TWO emails those bastards

they haven't emailed me back so I sent them another email. Is it possible to flash the chip via disc? I doubt it; but i'm not sure if they are going to flash it for me or not

strangest thing man.. i have a 1.6 not sure if its 1.6b or just 1.6 but i get the same results and i ordered from system-mods.com too.

i used the rebuild pcb and the d0 is done via that (just a shortcut).. and mine boots to the MS bios.. ive checked all my connections and they are perfect even with a magnify glass...

nobody said anything about needing it flashed i would have paid extra no biggie .. thats pretty wack if ive been f*cking with this thing for about 6 hours tryin to see whats going on and thats all it is.

can someone confirm this? the external LED for status would not come on at all if this were the problem? because i get absolutely nothing, not red, green or yellow LEDs. However, the blue led on the x3 does come on.

thanks

I have the same led problem too. I've taken out my chip and am trying to get it returned flash and then sent back out (shipping is just like $3 so no biggie)

There are actually TWO LED's on the chip itself. (hard to see when its not lit but its there) and if they are BOTH not on then it won't work

*IF and WHEN I get it returned with the Cromwell Flashbios I will tell you if its works or not

the two light on the x3 will come on with a 1.6b. it sounds like a soldering issue's with these problems. if the external switch is not lighting up look at pin 15 and pin 9. i would get the install right before i sent my chip back most chips are already flashed with 3.03 on at least some banks and somtimes 3.01 will boot on boxes made after the dates for the 1.6b get the install right then if you cant see the bios sent it back.

well I took it out and sent it back. I asked for a refund. I also broke a vein of wire on the Xbox backside. It's not that bad, any suggestions on fixing it?

Kinect games.

Just curious. Do the new Kinect-games need to have LT+ firmware or can you just use iXtreme 1.61 as usual unless ABGX360 says it's AP25 or?
