Great Working Xenon- Demon & Corona v5 Slim Proto 2-Demon

Just wanted to say THX to TX for the great products & support.. Can't wait to try the 2 new products being released soon..

Removed front usb ports to fit the cpu heatsink, but will be adding them back somehow when I do the case mod. I have a small Dual USB Port Pcb from an old laptop that I'm going to try to use.



In the pic below I had to remove the original inductors and replace/relocate them with 2 from a falcon board because they lay flat and the originals stood up.







Pic of the motherboard with all caps removed because I did a recap before Installing the Demon & jtag Kit.. But I hat to remove the Jtag Kit to get the heatsink to fit so I put it on one of my other PreNxe Xenons.

These came with the heatsinks and I'll be putting them on today, The thermal tape is crap on them so I'm replacing it with 3M.
Will prob replace all of the inductors with falcon inductors because they lay flat & will make it easier to tighten heatsink bolts.




After that I'll be searching for a better thermal compound, quiet 120mm slim fans & some tall enough standoffs for the motherboard so I can use the ram sinks on the bottom. Then I will have to think of a case mod for it.

Will also be adding a TX Phat Sonus when I remove the heatsinks to change the TIM.

Thermalright HR-03 GT, they are very hard to find because they are discontinued. Out of the 2 that I got one already had the extra holes on the mounting bracket to fit the xbox and I had to drill them in the other.

The Amazon seller where I got mine from has one more left if your interested, It took me almost 1yr to find these new.

There are 3-4 diff versions HR-03, HR-03 Plus, HR-03 GT. (HR-03 GTX??) You need the HR-03 Plus Or HR-3 GT to fit the 360 or slim. The only diff in the 2 is heatsink height without the fan, the plus is around 30-34mm tall and the GT is 55-58mm tall.

I know its a Xenon but I had to pick one to be a test dummy because I had to relocate caps, inductors & front usb ports and there was no reason to take a chance on messing up a jasper.. The 360 boots perfect without the front usb ports, but I'll be adding them back when I do the case mod.

I had a extra one just laying around looking for a home, so I said why not. :)

I will prob go with RGLoader if I decide to try to start learning to make some personal trainers..

I followed the demon Phat guide and It's in the same spot as the guide..
