Green/Red light flashing after install of 2.6

I just installed a 2.6 on my 1.1 system.

Now when I boot the light goes green and the fan spins
same happens again
and finally it starts flashing green/red, blue light on chip is on.
while I was soldering the silver dot where the grey cable is soldered on came off. I figure this is whats causing the prob as I probably damaged the micro circuitry.

Anyone confirm this or give me a solution

You have a FRAG see my sig for a definition. This is most likely an install problem. What happens with the chip off?
