I'm using 30awg kynar wire for my nand connection.

I've noticed that the ground and 3.3v wire for the coolrunner is a lower gauge.

Should I use two wires (or lower gauge wire) for the ground pin or is one sufficient?

I haven't had any problems so far, more so just wondering if it would be better.

Thanks, just double checking. I got a few 250 errors and several 210 errors with nandpro. But all the dumps matched and flash dump tool has all the correct info and 4 bad blocks remapped. Read somewhere grounding might be an issue, but everything looks good despite the errors. I won't worry about it.

The NAND dump is not affected by the coolrunner. Unless you bridge points of the coolrunner with the NAND points. And yes there is a reason why the gauge is smaller. You should double the ground and power points to make sure a solid connection is made. Disregard the earlier post.

If your taking about using 30g wire on the coolrunner that is.

Sorry for the confusion, I was just talking about the ground for the nand flasher. Hoping my CoolRunner will come in tomorrow :)

Just make sure you are getting a solid ground. There would be no harm in double it up. I too use 30g IDE wire when dumping my NAND.

I took it as he was asking about the ground wire for the nand. I have done this myself countless times between wiis and xboxes with 28 - 30 awg wire and had zero problems with reading/writing.

Id love to see the specs on a CR but I doubt it pulls more current than what a 30 awg wire can handle but I of course admit there are other factors that I may not be taking in to account when it comes to my thinking that 30 awg wire could handle the draw of the CR.

@OP, listen to the above post if you are powering up the CR.
