I use thin wire, and wrap each end around the casing of the PC and console, most people use croc clips, but i'm Scottish and cheap :p. As long as they are connected to each other you will be fine.

Thick speaker wire should work, but I just bought one foot of thin power cable and a set of crocodile clips from Home Depot. It might have cost $4 total.

If your in the UK it's not much of an issue as we have three pronged earthed plugs.

But if you are touching componants then earth yourself via a house radiator ot use an anti static strap.

i didnt ground it, whats the point figured that nothing bad would happen, except the flashing somehow decided to stop and then tell me its deleting all my hd's and started to reflash all my drives and then melt my xbox 360, since i didnt follow a lick of the tut said what to do lol. But yeah just touch the metl on the 360 and then the powersupply on your pc and your good as long as you dont move alot then :) old trick used in basic take apart pc class in college what a gay course that was.

I brought up that issue a while back, you said it was something to do with a floating earth seal. I tried to find out but I am almost certain it's for just the US/2 pin plug boxes, but I still do it anyway, no point in taking risks.

Earth between the xbox 360 metal case and the PC case. I raised the point that I didnt think we in the UK would need to as all our electrical equipment comes with an earth on the plugs, but in the US they don't. But I would do it anyway.

Yes it is a floating earth point but more so for the US but If you feel safer doing it then do it or like you said ensure the cases are touching simple.
