I bought got a 360 where the tray kept popping open when you tried to close it and wouldn't stay closed, so obviously bad flash more than likely using the console. Safety first i went to backup the key (liteon drive) and it straight gimme the key after phat key without using the probe....strange.

I fixed the tray popping open by soldering the wire between the 2 points on the mobo now im getting play dvd so the key is wrong

So just wandering what extra i need to RHG for key retrieval i have a ck3 lite and a x360usb pro so do i now just need a nand-x, qsb kit, cool runner and nand-x to coolrunner cable?

Cheers

the dash is 2.0.14699.0

Any idea why the key was extracted straight away without probing? obviously its wrong key but still should have needed probing for the extraction.

That shouldn't have happened, PhatKey does not work unless you use a Probe 3 or PMT.

You should be able to glitch that console (CB dependant) but you may need to wait for RGH 2.0 because if the CB was updated to a split CB (CB_A/CB_B) then you cannot currently do anything with it.

You won't know the console's CB version until you get a valid NAND dump.

Thats what i thought but it straight went to the point to power cycle the drive so i did and it extracted the key. I may aswell buy the kit anyways will always come in handy as i have another console i wanna glitch anyway.

Im sure it will be easy enough im not new to console repairs or soldering, it looks no more complicated than a ds lite game slot which i can do easy so just gotta get the software side of it right which aint my strong point .

just read the j-runner tutorial, when it displays the cpu key in xell is that my dvd key also that i will need to flash the drive with?

When it says to power the console up, flash cool runner, create ECC, write ECC is this all done with the console remaining on?

Cheers

Ignore that last post i had an older version got the newer version and the new guide answered my questions.
please go through the tut again when you first boot your console (after you write your ecc to your nand) it will specify which is your cpu key and which is your dvd key you never power your console on to read the nand or program the cr chip read the tutorial again you need the power brick hook up but dont turn it on

After the point where you flash the coolrunner it says to boot your console then it tells you to create the ECC, so didnt know if you was meant to leave the console on from this point until after whe write ECC it says to unplug the power cord

You never turn on your console while you have the nand x hooked up. You have the console pluged in but not powered on.

1. Dump nand
2. flash coolrunner
3. creat ecc
4. write ecc
5. install coolrunner
6. hook up console boot xell get cpu key
7. enter cpu key into cpu field
8. select dash type (latest is 14719)
9. creat image
10. write image

done.

Flash CoolRunner
At this point you should Flash the CoolRunner with relevant file
Press the Flash Coolrunner button

Now boot your console – if all wiring is correct it should boot fine with the stock nand.

Create ECC
At this point press the create ECC button you should see a whole load of text appear in the log file.

No no no. It says to boot the console to make sure you didnt mess anything up while sodlering the CR. You have to flash the ECC to your nand to boot to xell. So, after you've soldered your CR to the board (assuming it's already been programmed), then you need to flash your ecc (with the console off, and on standby power).
