leave the cable as-is - that should be fine. You're getting 1.5k from the J2D2.1 and J2D2.2 so a reflow won't help the fact that your values drop considerably when the cable's connected.

The NAND-x also comes with the wires for HDMI (along with in-line diodes). I'd be tempted to remove the J1F1 QSB completely and solder the wires into the holes manually. The connector will fit into the QSB too.

i don't use QSB for nand-x i solder wires direct as it's easier but as far as the hard wiring the wires into J1F1, shall i chop the connector off the end that goes into the QSB on that side and hard wire them because of diodes??

thanks again

You shouldn't need to. Just remove the QSB at J1F1. Connect the HDMI JTAG connector into the QSB at J2D2 and solder the hard wired ends to the points at J1F1.

The diodes on the smaller QSB should be ok, but I wanted to eliminate them. Use a meter and check to make sure that one side of the diode goes to the socket and the other goes to the QSB?

If the console is booting as stock, then it shouldn't matter either way.

Want to send the board up to me and I'll take a look?
