I've tried and tried and TRIED... but I can't get this thing to work. I have an Executer 3 that I just ordered last week. I tried for 9 hours the first day to get it to work with no luck. BOTH LED's on the chip are coming on... I've resoldered D0 so many times.... hell I even tried the wire install and still nothing. Just FRAGGIN.... stupid little circle flashing at me.... mocking me... GRRRRR

I was told to flash my chips BIOS but I can't find TUTS on that unless the darn chip is working.

I have V1.4 Xbox.

I'm kinda mad about the whole thing...

I might try a Xecuter 2.6 No Solder next.... can't screw that up right?

Just thought I should add this...

When I unplug the 3 wire connector for LAN LED, HD LED, and D0 the Xbox stops FRAGIN...

Thats because the D0 is out.. without the D0, the modchip wouldn't boot at all. Best to get hold of a multimeter to check your LPC connections.

alright.. I think I figured it out. CHIPS STAYS ON WITHOUT LPC 3 PIN CONNECTOR.... plug connector in and it's frag city. I think that this means I screwed the LPC somehow....

Are the alternate solder points for EACH LPC point? Maybe I could rebuild the whole thing?

Not sure that would even work... I think this box is gonna have to remain unmodded. MY BAD... crap.

Where are the alternate solder points?

I kinda did chew up the LPC pretty bad the last time I desoldered... the stuff wouldn't melt!

Samsung MS28

Hey I have little problem and was wondering if you guys could help me

I'm trying to flash my new DvD drive Toshiba Samsung H943AH MS28. Problem is when I create a bootable flash drive it doesn't want to boot to DOS from it (I've used iPrep for it and iXtreme 1.61 for Samsung). Am using Windows 7 at the moment.

I was wondering if it's possible to do it without full reboot of the PC and do it in command prompt in Windows but when I get to the point that I need to power off and on the drive nothing happens and status is at 0xFF all the time. The DvD drive it plugged in to the SATA VIA controller.

Is there anything am doing wrong? And does it really need to boot to DOS from the flash drive or I can do it the way I do it (type cmd in Windows to launch command prompt)

Please guide me step by step if you could

Re: Samsung MS28

Tried it and it got to the 'success' point but doesn't seem to read the DvDs :(
