GTA SA Driving School 'The 360' Problem!!

I have an XPro 2.3B with an xecuter BIOS.

GTA SA plays fine from the HDD and I have installed the gameplay friendly version of hotcoffee ( If it wasn't for all the ruckus about the hotcoffee mod I would have never have brought the game)

The issue is now that I have unlocked the Driving School the first test "The 360" appears to be broken.

The instructions tell you to hold both left and right triggers to do the 360 degree burnout, from what I understand this should then triger the timer but it does not.

I think IGR is interferring with GTA SA being able to detect both triggers being held, I have tried turning off IGR in EvoX but it does not appear to dissable it and im thinking along the lines that I will need to install the M7 EvoX bios for this to be the case.

I know of one other case of this but wonder if it is more widespread?? and has anyone come across it and fixed it?

Cheers.

Never come across it, but haven't got up to any driving school stuff in GTA SA myself yet. (never heard of it till now so i'm looking forward to finding it! :) )

Anyway, note that the X3 bios has an IGR option as well, turn IGR off in X3 bios and see if that helps. Dunno if the IGR would cause your probs but... can't hurt to try.

Oh, i do know that in the game, if you want to do the burnout you need to hold both triggers and also hold the direction that you want the car to spin, AND only some cars can do a burnout. Some of the crappy cars dont have enough power to spin the wheels...

Yep it just does endless donuts, the message telling you to hold both triggers never dissapears. If should disapear and be replaced with the timer for you to do the donut in.

Its a pain as you can't get to any of the other driving school missions or unlock any of the special cars.

More info.

Last night in updated my BIOS to the X2 5032 - 512k and disabled IGR in the x2config.ini and finaly it actually disabled IGR.

However it did not solve the issue with the timer not starting once both triggers are pulled to start the burnout. I can complete the donut and nothing happens no timer is started and the message on screen remains "Pull both left and right triggers to start the burnout"

Could it be the dashboard im using the latest version of evolutionx 3935. Im going to try one of the other dashboards and see what happens.

Disable the modchip and try it from the original game disk

oh, and if you have "loaned" it to your mate for the week... just "borrow" it back from him to test this out.

:)
