Hey everyone. Figured I'd post here because I do not know where else to post. My parents (jokingly) agreed that if I could make a 1500 on my SAT they would buy me one of every kind of XBOX, whether it be HALO LE, DOA, Crystal, etc. I did not think I was gonna make it, but I just got my scores, and I got a 1500 exactly! And when I showed my dad, he just said "Oh, sh*t." Gonna cost him a little over $3000 to fulfill his end of the deal. And I am going to be buying a lot of X3 chips in the next couple of days.

Never even thought about reselling them. But its gonna cost quite a bit for all the X3s and stuff. Roughly 300 extra a box for chips, HDDs, fans, all the necessary stuff. Plus the new Control Panel, nm, like 350 per box. Would it be worth it to mod em and sell em, or just keep em? I guess sell, cuz I'll never use like what is it, 5-6 different kinds of boxes?

i have no idea why the hell u'd want all those xbox's... isn't 1 or 2 enough? like hell i'd rather have the 3g's. but still cool and congrats on the 1500. if you do keep some i'd suggest keepin the halo and doa. i wish i had a doa xbox those look so sweet.

Wow... that is a LOT of money. Some of those XBox types are very rare.

I assume you are junior or senior in high school, correct? Tell your parents you only want one of those types of Xbox, whether that be the smoked, clear, DOA, whatever. But then, make them absoultely promise that they will give you the $3000 in cash before you go to college. If you are anything like me (senior, about to become at freshman at Mizzou), you'll need it. I only got a 27 on the ACT... more then enough to get me into the Engineering program, but not enough for many scholarships. (Le Sad...) Besides, like da_supa_fish, I would much rather have the Benjamins! But hey... to each their own.

I know about the cash, it was just the sheer irony. He did not think I was gonna get that kind of score, and neither did I. And I consider it a waste of cash, but yeah, I can always sell them later. It was just one of those things, prolly end up modding some, then selling them, and keeping the rest, and selling them eventually. Just thought I'd let every1 know.

DUDE you could mod some of those (SOME) then sell the modded ones and get a lot of cash back then start a business and start getting the xboxs at an even cheaper price and start making a mod company. DUDE YOU COULD BE RICH.

i dunno... i tried to sell one of my xboxs and didnt get a bite on it. so its all relative.

Meh. Who knows. It was mainly the luck behind it, and the thought that it was never gonna happen that spurred it. Now that the humor has worn off, though, I see the waste of money. But, it cannot be that bad, because I know some of those boxes look amazing (read: Smoke, Crystal). Oh well.

Hey now, while my 27 is no genious score, it is WAY higher then the national average. The national average is , like, 17-20. Besides, that was the second time I had taken it, so cut me some slack! I need at least one more point and that'll get me $1500 more tuition then I already have.
