Anyone else think this kid a spolied brat? I mean c'mon who did you get the 1500 for? Yourself or for your parents? Its going to help you alot more in the long run with school and a future career, then it ever will help your parents. Awesome you got yourself a great score on the SAT and have just repaid your parents for all the time, energy, and money spent nurturing, teaching, and helping you hopefully grow into a mature and responsible adult.

Tell em to keep their $3000 and put it in a CD for you or something else you can use when you grad from college and your looking for a house.

dude, get over yourself. if his parents are willing to do it then so what. he was posting about it cause its funny, not to be yelled at by somebody who has nothing better to do with their time than try to bring somebody else down for no reason at all.

Yep thats exactly what I was doing. I just wanted to bring him down cause he got a 1500 on his SATs. I was only trying more so to show him that life doesnt have to be filled with materialistic things to be happy.

*L* this coming from a guy who's name is modeled after a materialistic thing?

Sorry. just had to say it. :)

But I agree. Get one xbox or 2 for system linking (but I'm guessing you already have one), and if they still want to reward you more, there is so much more you can do with the cash. You'll need it in University.

Just a few quick questions. I am Canadian and don't exactly know much about SAT's. How does the SAT system work? Is it like the big exam of all your highschool exams put into one? How long is it? What subjects does it consist of? Is it like scantron sheets or written questions? Does it really determine your future?

The SAT and the ACT are basically standardized tests that were (somebody please correct me if I'm wrong) put put together by a team of colleges. It is, basically, a summary of the knowledge you obtain through high school. It doesn't included upper level math, such as Calculus (I'm in it currently, but do not test well), but goes up to Algebra 2 and Trig. You are asked questions on science, math, reading, and... something else.... :) I can't remember right now.

The ACT is graded on a 36 point scale. A 36 is perfect, and football players get 1's. :) Just kidding, I don't mean that. The national average on the ACT is, like, 19-21.

The SAT is similar, but graded on a 1600 point scale. I haven't taken it, so I can't tell what the average scores are.

As far as differences go, the ACT is basically the test used if you go to a midwest school. The SAT is used if your headed to foreign schools or schools on the coasts. Since I live in Missouri, I've only needed to take the ACT. I could use a higher score (as you may have read earlier, I got a 27) for scholarship purposes, but I know God will provide. Or at least He'll help me take out some loans. :p

Answer your question?
