im sure uve answered this questions millions of times but i just cant the bugger to work

ive just recieved my "Xecuter 2.6 CE & Xapt3r Solderless Combo"

ive managed to get the solderless adapter installed and tested currectly (turn xbox on and all three lights are blue) but as soon as i put the chip on the headers it restarts itself 3 times and stays on with the power led on the xbox flashin green and red and nothing on screen and the solderless adapter red led shows up.

ive connected the switch part to the chip so i can change "banks" etc and xbox will boot up fine when the chip is disabled but wont when its enabled.

ive unscrewed it and still no luck, ive read ne tutorial and post i can come across and it doesnt seen like im doing anything wrong, im thinking it could be the chip but ne help would be gr8;y appriciated

if it helps its an 1.2/1.3 xbox and the dfo wire (the thin one from the adapter to the mb) is correct to the pictures posted on the xbox-scene website.

i apply pressure onto the chip and ive reconnected the switch thingy and still get nothing, i know the switch works as as soon as i disable the chip via the switch board the red light on the adapter turns off.

i have noticed that the chip can "rock" on the pins of the Xapt3r Solderless Adapter but nothing major.

please help peeps, im loosing the will 2 live with this bloody thing

are u talking about the adapter or the chip?

on the adapter theres three blue but as soon as i put the chip on it the red cums up

on the chip theres a blue led that cums up once its sat on the adapter but it just frags

Adapter is three blue and one red.... on the chip it's two blue and one red. If you aren't getting two blue on the chip that is your problem.

They're labled on the chip so you can see what one is 5.5 and what one is 3.3... then you can see what you are not getting.

the red led on the adapter cums on then off after a brief sec if the chip isnt on or isnt plugged on

as far as the chip i can only see one blue led which hangs over the cut out of the chip bottom right once the chip is placed downwards onto the adapter

Ok... check out your chip and you'll see that those lights are labled... 5.5 and 3.3, which one is out. Also your D0 should be on all the time. Regardless if the chip is in or not. So fix your D0 and make sure you have all the lights. I think that with the 1.6's there is a wierd problem with getting a 5.5 singal... I'm trying to get more info on that now.

gunna upset u now m8 lol, i cant see the other 2 leds, theres loads of chips on it but no other leds apart from the one i mentioned above

even if i turn the xbox upside down theres only the one on so if they are there not 1 other the other 2 is on

Oh, sh*t... I'm sorry, you're installing a 2.6... oops. I thought it was a 3.0.... my bad. I don't know if 2.6 has a 5.5... I've never installed anything other than a X3. Crap... let me do some research and I'll get back to you.

dont worry about it ive just broke the do little cab;e thing out of frustration so gunna buy a x3 once ive been payed after xmas
