And of course you know there're problems with the movie producers these days when their "PG target audience" is based off of a game rated "M."

i just saw a trailer on tv for doom...........and i don't know if i should go waste my money to go watch it in theaters when it comes out or just rent it when it comes out on dvd to watch how badly it was put onto the big screen.
and i think that halo could be a pretty good movie, but only if it was all made in 3d....i think the same goes for doom, and only because if they relate the movie more to the game and try to make them both very similar, that the gamers who actually play them would have something to relate them to and like it.

Doom will suck and Halo will suck also. It's the hollywood way. Try and market a known moneymaker and ruin it.
im really surprised with the money that Microsoft has and the known market base for halo that they dont launch something themselves...They seem to like to get involved in as much as they can... i agree with alot of earlier post that games into movies dont do the games any justice..there are so many games with incredible storylines that would make great movies...I guess we could hold our breaths..i just shudder at the image of it be released as cgi movie..ahhhh...not knocking the Finial Fantacy games..i have never played any of them..but the movie "Spirts within" didnt lead me to the game store...never the less..im gona check out the halo books..

Dude!, I remember my dad dragging me one saturday night to purdues UA theatre to suffer through the Rocky Horror picture show. My uncle and he (mostly my uncle) thought it was great. I was just a little boy, but what I saw on screen and in the audience scarred me for life.

I don't know...I'm a big RE buff and I thought the movie was disapointing...
They introduce a girl named Alice and in the second one they hint [my theory] that she will be Alexia by her use of Telekinesis on the Camera guy...they messed up bad....

That's what leads me to believe they are going to annihilate Halo, it'd be best if they kept it CGI rather than real people or live action.
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within and Final Fantasy: Advent Children, those are some good movies based on Video Games, I was highly impressed with Advent Children. A must see for FF fans.
Well I geuss you might call this good news but DOOM luckily will be rated R, so thay wont cut all the gore and stuff from the movie, which is going to make it a little better.
