ok, i am looking for my new maps on my hard drive so i can ftp it to another hdd. which directory is the new maps as well as the new version 1.1?

ok, i have found all maps and patches. they are split in 3 diff folders, now where on my halo game on my hdd do i put them?

...you put them in the same spot where you found them.
If you're editing the mainmenu to put them in that way just stick them in the main maps folder.

Also, if its going to a different xbox with a different EEPROM then you will need to patch the required files. You can simply use the AWSK H2DLC CDX patcher or something similar.

but wait. what if i just put the map files themselves in my map directory? will they still work even though the other are not in there?

ummm.....if ur talking about the new maps........(which im guessing u r) then ya u can put them in the maps folder and add them to mainmenu.map but then u can't do lots of things like play them on live, or play with a system link with most of ur friends who have them installed correctly.....
