To answer An Egg's question, the only thing that a mod chip will make easier about modding Halo 2 is make it easier to transfer the maps from the Xbox to your PC and back. When playing Halo 2, you will sometimes notice that the only time that you see modding going on is on the new maps that had to be downloaded: Warlock, Sanctuary, Turf, Containment, Relic, Backwash, Gemini, Terminal, and Elongation. The reason for this is that the map files are what are actually being modified. This process involves changing hex values on the map files, which is a process that is very difficult and requires an expertise, so to say, with game variables and programming. As I haven't been around long enough to see where these forums stand on cheating, though, I am going to stop my explanation here and provide no further information about the process. And no, I don't mod online, although I have been accused on several occasions by nubs that got owned.
