OK, so I have a 1.0 box, and a 2.6 with a wire install. All was working well and then one day it started doing the typical three reboots, then FRAG from time to time.
To make a long story short, one of the wires came loose and caused the chip to FRAG. I resoldered all the wires (solder job was good) and then reboot the box, and it still does the three boots then FRAG.
So, I bought a new 2.6CE chip, plugged it in this morning, everything seems to be cool, boots into FlashBIOS and everything.
Since I could turn off the chip and see from the MS dash that all my stuff was still on the hard drive, I figured I could just flash the BIOS, and be good to go with Avalaunch, just like nothing had happened.
I got the xecuter2 build 4978.03 BIOS and went to do HTTP flash, and it gave me Unknown Flash! Halting! which I found weird because I remembered to to turn flash protect off.
So I turn off my box and now when I go to turn it on, it does the same three boot and FRAG, and it does it on both banks.
I'm stuck as for what to do, I figure the BIOS is boned, but how? And why? And most importantly, how am I going to fix it?
