HANA Chip reflow?

Hi

I have this weird graphics in the dashboard/games, i'm connected with HDMI, it is most visible in black, it looks like small squares/lines, they get bigger i change the resolution on my xbox. And they are completly gone if i use AV(Component, VGA), so the problem only appears on HDMI, tried with difference cables and also tried resetting the display settings, still got the squares.

HDMI has no bent legs, so thats not the problem.

Could this be a problem with my HANA chip, possible need of a reflow?

Here is some pictures of the problem, it can properly be hard to see the problem on the pictures.

Actually if you look at the first picture not resized(zoomed out) the problem appere, it is obvious that there are lines.

First of all,how confident are you carry out a reflow on your console,ma1um ?,secondly do you posses a reflow machine to carry out the work yourself ( if not then i'd suggest to give it to a pro ) and lastly your consoles board might need a replacement AV/HDMI port to fix this problem

To be honest, I don't think i will be able to do any of those, the problem just bothers me, the console has worked perfectly for 3-4 years now and suddenly this problem.

Yeah, sorry forgot to mention that i tried with my pc monitor and TV. Still the same problem only HDMI, not AV.

Which console/motherboard do you have?

Xbox 360 Premium
Motherboard model: zephyr

The GPU may need a reflow/reball. If you don't have the tools and the knowledge for this, my suggestion would be to send it to a pro.

Do you think it is the GPU, AV output does not have the problem?

I would aso say it looka like a gpu reflow needed. Im sure if you spent extensive time playing on the console, it would get worse.

Its a gpu issue. It will need a reflow. The reason it works on av but hdmi is because hdmi puts more stress on the gpu

ok..hmm, i haven't heard any places in denmark they do reflow/reball, i will have to do a search for it, but if i don't find anything i will properly just sell this xbox, and buy a new one. It is still unbanned, dont know if that makes a difference.

wont get much for it at all. will only be used for parts. if ur looking for a new console I have some e model for sale. brand new still in box!

I live in EU, you are from US right?, think the shipment is gonna get expensive, and what about region lock?

Have you tried a new HDMI cable? I had the same problem, popped in a new HDMI and fixed. Hope this helped!
