hangs at xbox logo (rox my box)

everthing was running smooth till i loaded X3CL skin an i froze so restarted. now i hangs there on xbox logo screen an the clear button don't work either i have the x3 modchip i updated it X3_3029 i have SlaYers_EvoX_Auto-Installer_v2.6_FINAL on it.
an i can't get in ftp so i can back my stuff up any ideas

try booting with the chip disabled and see if you get an error service message on the original xbox dash. that may help you find out a problem, ofcoarse if you hard drive is unlocked then you will automatically get error message 6 and then that wont be any help. but just try that, it may help.

if your hard drive is not locked you will get error 5 not 6
try booting another bank and reflash your bios !!

I am getting this same problem also, I've tried flashing banks 1,2,3,4 with a new bios, it does the same thing. it hangs on the rox my box screen.

It was working fine with the 3029 bios earlier, but I downloaded some skins for the X3CL and most worked, but when I tried one, it froze, rebooted and now it wont boot into X3CL.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I noticed that the colours I previously set for the bootup animation and the words on my lcd screen are the same even though I have loaded a new bios. Where are these settings held? I do have another xbox I can put my drive into, so I should be able to get onto the drive to delete the x3cl settings if they are stored in a file somewhere.

phew!!! sorted it!!!!

I followed a few bits of info from this site, flashed the bios with the evox M8 bios in the first 256k bank. Booted into the evox dash and then just deleted the offending Skin directory via FTP.

I then reflashed the bios with the 3029 bios and rebooted with my fingers crossed!! lol

it works again now
