I have a v1.6b with an X3 installed. The FlashBios is version 3.0.0 and I have been up and running since last November with no issues at all. Last night I coppied a few games from a backup cd I had back to my Xbox and all hell broke loose.

To make a long story short (as if that's possible) I thought my bios was fried because as soon as the xbox would turn on, it would show me the bios password screen. I could not get into any of the other settings.

I installed the latest version of the x3 bios today, and now when booting, it hangs on the Rox My Xbox screen. Holding down the white button does nothing.

I have flashed this version to on, on, off, off, off and off, on, off, off and the same thing happens.

Any help would be appriciated. What am I doing wrong? The first time I did this (months ago) I had no problems!!

By the way

I have tried with both of the newest versions:

version x3 3283.bin - just locks up at the Rox My Xbox screen forever.

version x3 3283.bin - frags on the reboot.

Well, I couldn't find the post it was suppose to be linked to but here is what it said.

Here are the steps you need to remove the password.

Now if you _dont_ know the password you can press A+B+Y+X to delete the configuration. (Note: I've tried this and it did _not_ work.)

1. Boot to the backup bios.
2. Flash _bios_1892_ onto your chip.
3. when the password question comes up you need to put in the correct password you used in the first place. then go into the settings to delete the password.
4. reload the backup bios
5. flash the current bios back onto the chip.

If you still can't get it you can get "x3_erase" from the usual places. (Again, Ive tried this with no luck. Maybe cuz i dont know how to make a xbox bootable CD??)
